What’s Happening in 2016?

Every year, we want to continue reaching out into the communities God has called us to be a part of through various local outreach, international missions, and church planting opportunities. Here’s a list of places that your generosity is enabling us to help reach out to and partner with. We’re so grateful for your generous giving.

Transitional Housing

Over the years as a church, we’ve recognized the need of some who just need a hand up, a firm footing, and most desparately, a place to get back on their feet. We also know that recognizing the problem is just the first step. We encourage everyone who attends Connection to continue taking their next steps in their relationship with Christ and sometimes those steps require action.

So we’re taking action. We’re in the planning stages of building a transistional housing facility at our Statesboro campus where those who need that hand up, can also have a place to rest their heads.

Future Campus

We have a vision to reach 10,000 people with the Gospel and have 80% of them serving, in a Connect Group, and giving genrously. We also know that the Gospel isn’t limited to just the areas where we currently have campuses. We want to continue reaching people with the Gospel and as God leads us, we hope to continue planting campuses in other cities. This will be an ongoing thing for us, and we’re super excited about it!

Because of your generous giving, we’ve already moved our Vidalia campus to a new facility back in March and their attendace has already grown!

7th Mile Farm

Fostering Bulloch is developing an outdoor recreational facility called the 7th Mile Farm to serve children in foster care in Georgia and at-risk youth in our community. The venue will be intentionally designed to host Teen Reach Adventure Camps (TRAC) which will be Georgia's first ever camp as early as 2017. Teen Reach Adventure Camps focus on revealing the love of Christ by giving foster youth a space to share their stories.

We’re helping build out some of the facilites at the 7th Mile Farm in 2016 with the hopes of continuning a partnership in the years to come!

TRAC Sponsorships

TRAC is a positive, faith-based summer camp experience that offers hope and encouragement to foster children who are 12 to 15 years old that may have suffered abuse, neglect or abandonment. We want to help sponsor these kids’ experiences, some from all over the state of Georgia, at 7th Mile Farm. Help us help them gain some encouragement, a place of belonging, and some security in what typically has been a really rough and unstable upbringing.

Mercy Clinic

Mercy Medical Clinic is a free, volunteer-powered health care clinic in Lyons, Georgia. The clinic is based on the successful national model, Volunteers in Medicine, that engages retired and practicing doctors, nurses, and non-medical volunteers to provide compassionate care, free-of-charge, to the uninsured. The clinic does not rely on government funding and does not accept any insurance. Mercy Medical Clinic is 100% supported by private donations and in-kind contributions of professional services and supplies.

These guys are doing amazing things in the Vidalia/Lyons community and we want to partner financially with them to help continue their efforts!

Service Week 2016

During the week of April 17 - 23, all of our Connect Groups across every campus hit the streets to serve their city. From basketball goals to various construction projects and everything in between, our Connect Groups put in hundreds of hours of service to bless our cities. We’ve always wanted to be a church that continually reaches out in tangible, practical ways. Jesus often met someone’s physical, felt needs as He also met their spiritual needs. We want to be known for the same thing. We plan on this being an annual event for many years to come in addition to our annual Christmas Service Day where we pass out hundreds of gifts and thousands of meals.
