Every year we want to continue reaching out into our communities and the world. Through various efforts of local outreach, international missions, and church planting, we saw God do a lot of really cool things in 2017. These efforts are inaddition to the 19 organizations we yearly support financially across all of our campuses. Thanks to your continued generosity, here’s a list of things that your generosity enabled us to do.
We were able to resource to mission trips in 2017 with supplies. In Honduras, we again met up with Pastor Samuel to help construct another Sunday school room onto the church we helped build back in 2015. We also spent some time in the neighboring communities passing out hygiene and food bags. In the Dominican Republic our team went and delivered shoes to children in an orphanage, built a garden with girls who had been previously rescued from sex trafficking, as well as helped complete some larger projects at a missionary's house they weren't able to complete on their own.
In 2017 we launch our fourth campus in Dublin, Ga. and also prepared to launch our fifth campus in Pooler, Ga. in 2018. There's a lot that goes into starting a new cmapus—buying equipment, organizing Connectors, scouting locations, training people, etc. Through One & One, we were able to get Dublin off the ground and everythig purchased catapualt Pooler in 2018. We're so excited to see all God is going to continue to do through these new campuses!
We believe that the children who attend Konnection Kids aren't just the future of the church, but they're an integral part of the church here and now. We also want to make sure that our kids are able to hear the gospel in a way that best suits their age groups. Our Statesboro campus has seen an incredible amount of kids attending each Sunday—so much so that we needed more room. Through One & One, we were able to refurbsh two mobile units for our 1st-5th grade students to break out into small groups.
During the week of April 23 - 29, all of our Connect Groups across every campus hit the streets to serve their city. From basketball goals to various construction projects and everything in between, 660 people put in 1500 hundred hours of service on 97 projects to bless our cities. We’ve always wanted to be a church that continually reaches out in tangible, practical ways. Jesus often met someone’s physical, felt needs as He also met their spiritual needs. We want to be known for the same thing.
Every year in the month of December we hold our Christmas Service Day. This year, we were able to pass out nearly 1,900 gifts and over 3,000 meals across all of our campuses to families who normally wouldn't be able to have gifts underneath the tree or a hot meal on the table. This is one of our favorite times of the year and your generous gifts help us help more people every year.
This past year, we were able to support our local schools by providing them with 500 packs of notebook paper, 225 book bags, and 15k pencils. All of these items went directly to helping these schools serve their students more.
